  Pros - Great location. - Concierge and leasing office in the building - Near CVS, Whole Foods - Has an entrance to Grocery store from within the building (don't have to get out to grab milk / essentials) - Heat and water included in the rent Cons - Old building - Frequent maintenance issues (like hot water, heat,etc). Maintenance team is quick though.

  Although some apartments have been newly renovated, the building is in a miserable state. It is a 100 year-old hotel. A lot of days you would wake up and find no water, and the landlord will only inform you after the fact, apologizing. Fire drills are too frequent and if you live in the upper floors you’re up for a long flight of stairs afterwards. The maintenance team won’t come and if they do, it takes them at least three visits to fix your problem (about a week), even though they are supposed to be on site the whole day. They promised to open a gym, and the working stopped indefinitely because they have used illegal workers to build it, and were fined for it. The landlord clearly cares way more about saving costs than please her tenants. The price is unreasonably inflated and increases by about $150/month every time you want to renew your lease. To be fair, the location is great, close to Wholefoods, CVS, Cappy’s Pizza and a convenience store. Overall, my experience has been awful for two years. No thanks to you, Parkside. No thanks to you.

  Most traumatic experience in my life. I was asked to move in 4 days later (the reason was that they "will clean and paint everything") even though I paid for the full month. Apartment was filthy. Without exacerbation - I had been cleaning it for more than 1 month! There were problems with electricity - all outlets almost melted after using any appliance. Radiator made noise every few seconds. Walls are absolutely transparent so you can hear any slightest movement of your neighbors - any conversation, coughing, sneezing - literally everything. They started renovation of the surrounding apartments and I was waking up before 8am with noise and there was dust allover. My neighbors told me that there is asbestos in the building. Bed bugs are also a problem. If you don't want to destroyed you physical and mental health - escape that place by all means.
